| Hi Family! I found this online in an Italian magazine! | Hold on now Jimi. I know this dude. He emailed me outta the blue awhile ago, in Italian. But he speaks fluent English. He's one of my fan friends and Spyz fan of course . You are his fave Spyz vocalist. I'll give him an email for further elaboration of his review but here is a quick though, ROUGH translation availalble. Each translator server differs . - Quote :
- When it talks about groups rock of color the main reference goes done to the Living Colour. In reality, instead, in the first years 90 were a lot the band that swarmed and populated l' world underground. Between these calmly we can cite groups like the Fishbone or the 24-7 Spyz that had not large luck. I am actual quest' last, to distance of ten years from their dissolution, to present again itself with a disk of large impact that "Does the day". The two third dell' organic I am you rhymed unchanged. To the voice and guitar c' is always Jimi Hazel, so like to the low one it is found the faithful Rick Scatore. The two are supported from the drummer Tobias Ralph. The first part of the cd is of large impact. The guitars, a lot it in the sounds, I am pesantissime, while the vocal harmonies are those that give back, to the same time, you sing like "Soulsucker", "Waiting for the sun" irresistible for their melodies. Same speech goes done for "Road to nowhere" in which the Spyz appaiono to the utmost of the shape. When the tones slow down and comes outside l' soul blues and soul of the trio, then the songwriting climbs in exponential manner. "Faithless" and "Angel" I am of the true and actual them that raise the caratura dell' whole work. In the final version, besides two cover that "Stand" and "Bad Reputation", c' is a tribute to the Fishbone d' year that does to close wisely the hoop. Well, the Spyz returned with a really satisfactory disk that looks at to the past, but wrings the eyes also to the present one and to the future. The hope is that someone it is welcomed finally of them.

Hi Mario, i'm very happy for your e-mail. It's a good review about new record. I love the new Spyz cd. I say that Spyz, as Fishbone and King's x, were not lucky in the past. Their records were very good, but the fame in the world was not enough. Now I hope that this band can have luck and success, becuase Rick, Jimi and Ralph have a lot of talents. My favourite songs are"Soulsucker", "Waiting for the sun" and "Ride to nowhere". I like the ballads as "Faithless" and "Angel". Sorry for my bad english, but i hope you have understood my words. Ciao.

| It's incredible! My review on this forum! I am an italian lawyer that loves 24-7 spyz, King's x, Living Colur and Fishbone. Face the day is a great record, the best of the band after the masterpiece Strenght in numbers. I' d like to have the jimi's solo cd, but it's impossible to find. Is it possible to see the Spyz in Italy? Thanks Jimi for your music and emotions that you give me every day. Bye ITALIA CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! | |
