28-05-2004 00:57 The SPYZ live in Ft Lauderdale is awesome.
It comes circa GUMBO. I got it from this cool cat named Anthony whom I met at a big KINGS X show and I told him I was a SPYZ fan and he said he was too and laid it on me. It might be a little muddy, but there
are parts that friggin ROCK. They play RE-IGNITION (bad brains) on it.
They play GRANDMA'S DYNAMITE and
they bring up these drunk people in the audience to sing. I cannot
make copies from it as I am inept
at CD burning. Anthony does lurk..maybe he will answer this.

Pierre, zfsf
28-05-2004 16:12 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello everybody from all around.
I think there will be a big discussion about this rec in Ft Lauderdale... So much people will want to hear that, so if there's a way to get it, even by paying directly the band to have a copy, because it's normal to pay someone for his (art)work.
Hey Rick Jim & Tony: we want it !!!!!!!!!!!! (Please)...

No problemo Tom, i've got some more vids for next time...

Yo Don,
Speaking of Spyz and Jellyfish. Must check out some tunes by this funk band from Boston called Two Ton Shoe. The drummer is an instructor at Berklee College of Music. They sound kinda like "24-7 Spyz meets Jellyfish", but IMO extremely poppy. I read this 'comparison' from a cd review on their old site. They broke up since, I think.....

Glad you guys like'em. I got the cds back in the '97 or 98. Chad Smith of the RHCP was gigging with them when he was in town doing drum clinics for Pearl. There are plenty of 'nods' to Spyz in their music. The guitar solo from "Lowdown" I thought was Jimi Hazel jamming as a guest. These cats are great!! Fun hella groovin' tunes. Funky as heck. BUY!!! BUY!!!
