Hey Fam! My solo joint is now available at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/jimihazel and I hope that if you DON'T have it, you'll get it! It was what I considered my "therapy sessions", because it took me some time to want to make music again and this was the result! Written, played & produced by me helped bring me full circle to myself, the music and 24-7 Spyz. Consider these the demos and insight for FTD! MY SOLO JOINT! Lovemuch

Jimi,

I remember when I bought the DVD and listened to the extras that had the 5 tracks from your solo disc, I too thought the drum sounds were great for being programmed sounds. Tobias mentioned the sounds you got and how he liked what you did. My question is, what did you use for the drum sounds?

flower Hi Cliff! The 5 bonus tracks on the dvd had real drums on them! Tony Lewis played drums but those were the original guitars & vocals from my solo disc. When Rick and I first hooked up after the hiatus, I had him recut the bass & Tony recut the drums to my older tracks. The original solo cd had all the programmed beats, which I used an old Alesis HR 16 for storing the midi data. I dumped that into the computer and used a sound replacer software so I could use the kick & snare sounds I wanted, which I copped from many different places! flower

Hey Jimi,

I didn't know about the solo dics. I'll be on CD-baby in a little bit to pick up my copy. It's going to be hard to take "Face the Day" out of the CD player in my car. Just like it was back in the day with "Strength in Numbers".
I needed a 12 step program to stop listening to that one.lol!

Peace
