I love it too! Jimi was pretty free to play like he wanted at that point (until he had to play more "commercial" music because of Mickael Jeffries (I'd like to hear commercial music like this one nowadays...).

- Mari Boine: Idjagiedas in the land of the night.
Indian songs, (new age?) mystic music, i love her voice and her musicians (Terje Rypdal,...).

- Alamaïlman Vasarat: Käärmelautakunta.
This band make everyone remember the "No smoking Orchestra" ( Emir Kusturica's movies) but with so much good musicians.
Jazz, tzigane, sometimes Metal (without guitar, but a cello)

- Pantera: The great southern trendkill.
I know that everyone here know this album but i got it in my player since a long time and i can't erase it. So good!

- Estradasphere: Palace of mirors.
More they make new albums, better they are!!

I just got it, it's a Progressive Punk album, with a "yes future" shade, some fun, some romantism, a kind of tremendous rocky horor picture show with incredible guitar parts !!! Introducing a second of jazz, some metal, a bit of country, all mixed together for fun All musicians on the album are crazy !!!

Some ol' time friends did a band again, it's called Jurassik Funk, and it will funk !!! I know the guitar player and the drummer and i can assure they do it great !!! I don't know if they put any tracks on the myspace because of my damn modem, but as i know they're gonna release a cd sooner or later, i invite you to follow the business Smile

the last band they had, a few years ago was some soul funk kinda Tower of Power with Slickaphonicks and more, and i'm glad they 'll play again.

Just coming back to ask you to take care of Jurassik Funk on myspace page, they've put a few songs on-line, 3 "demos" style and one more worked, called funk connection. Try this and please tell me or them what you think about. They did this at home, no studio, no money... Just good musicians. Hope you'll like it Smile
